The water faucet by the footbridge has been turned off for the winter season.

As of 10-17-11, leaving equipment intended for rope swing related or similar activities unattended, is prohibited and constitutes a public hazard at Smith Rock State Park.

Two wildfires are burning in the Central Oregon area making the air at Smith less than desirable.

The Shadow Lake fire on the north side of Mt. Washington is creating the biggest impact on the local air quality.
