At the Overlook past the Welcome Center, go down the paved path onto the gravel road. Stay left at the junction to hike along the gentle Canyon Trail to the Rope-de-Dope climbing area.

From there continue along the Canyon Trail, as it winds its way up slightly more difficult terrain until you see the exit(s) up on Wilcox Road outside of the park.

Reverse the path, going back down the Canyon Trail to the slightly steep unidentified trail at the horse ford.

Go right and take the  trail up to connect to the moderately difficult Rope-de-Dope Trail toward the The Bivy campground.

At the junction go left and take the flat and easy Rim Rock Trail, staying left as it winds around the ridge back to the day use parking area and the Welcome Center.
