Snag Your Campsite Quickly April 19 for the Solar Eclipse

This just in—35 reservable campsites will be available TOMORROW April 19 at 8:00 AM  for viewing the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21 at oregonstateparks.org or reserveamerica.com or by calling the reservation line at 800-452-5687. 

The park expects to sell out within an hour. (See last paragraph for more opportunities.)

All sites will have a three-night minimum, with check-in on Friday, Aug. 18 and check-out Monday, Aug. 21.

Prime Viewing of the Solar Eclipse at Smith Rock

One minute and 23 seconds. That’s how long Smith Rock solar eclipse viewers will bask in almost total darkness as the moon gets in between us and the sun.

Lying in the “Totality Path” of the first solar eclipse to touch the U.S. in 26 years, the park is perfectly positioned to enjoy a spectacular event on Monday, August 21, 2017— barely 145 days away. The partial starts around 9:06 AM and totality starts around 10:19 AM.
