SmithRock.com is happy to report for all you anxious climbers that the First Kiss climbing area is open again as of tomorrow, Friday, July 13. As far as park management knows, the chicks fledged successfully, bringing all climbing closures to an end for the season.

Bivy Rim tent sites are also open as of today, Thursday, July 12. Both eaglets have fledged and seem to be doing very well. The Picnic Lunch Wall and Monument Area closures lifted earlier, on May 8 and July 7, respectively.

So as of Friday the 13th, July 2018, NO CLOSURES ARE IN EFFECT. WOOT WOOT! Thanks again everyone for respecting the closures and to another successful raptor breeding season. You help keep the critter magic alive and well at Smith Rock.
