Hot Showers Again Soon, But All Water Outside the Restrooms Will Be Turned Off For the Winter
October 13, 2017
In spite of all of Ranger Josie Barnum's life saving efforts, the Bivy Campground hot water heater has officially died.
It will be replaced however. She's hoping the technician will be able to get it in by the end of next week or the beginning of the following week pending shipping of the unit and availability of the technician to install it. "It could be longer but we hope not!"
Also, all drinking fountains park-wide have been turned off for this weekend and will likely remain off for the rest of the winter due to freezing temperatures at night. That means down by the bridge too, although potable water is still available at the restrooms and for sale at the Welcome Center (open Thursday-Sunday 9 am to 2 pm)
When asked about an update on the sign to the park, Ranger Josie added, "We don't have a confirmed date for when the special order lumber for the entry sign will arrive, my guess is that will be pushed out until the 1st week of November." She'll let us know when it's going to be installed.
